Natalie Becker
Natalie Harriton Becker has been long inspired by painting on
location, at the seashore, in the woods, in gardens, or amongst
ancient buildings, both here and abroad. She uses vivid colors to
express impressionist-like views of water, sky, earth and foliage.
Ms. Becker studied at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts and
the Art Students League in New York. She taught painting and drawing
at Union County College, Cranford, NJ. Rockport Publications selected
her work for their 1996 “Best of Oil Painting” and 1997
“Floral Impressions, A Collection of Drawing and Painting
Ideas for Artists”. Her numerous honors include four Allied
Artists of America awards in the categories of Creative Painting
and Landscape in their national exhibitions, one First Place and
Medal of Honor Award in the Audubon Artists Annual exhibition, the
Grumbacher Award by the American Association of Women Artists, several
awards of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club National Exhibitions
and numerous awards including two Solo Award Exhibitions at the
Pen and Brush Club, New York, NY, most recently in 2000.
She has served on a number of juries of selection and juries of
awards for Allied Artists of America and Audubon Artists of America,
among others.
