KATHY CAUDILL
A third-generation self-taught artist, Kathy began her artistic career doing commercial art for advertising agencies and corporate clients and also worked for a time as a courtroom sketch artist. In 1980 she switched to full time painting. Since then, she has won numerous awards for her work and has been featured in several books and magazines including Splash 24: The Best of Watercolor, Splash Retrospective: 20 Years of Contemporary Watercolor Excellence, and Splash 8: Watercolor Discoveries. Her credits also include three murals painted for the US Postal Service and NBC Television.
In 2011 she was invited to exhibit her paintings alongside the work of Andrew Wyeth in the exhibition, “In the Tradition of Wyeth – Contemporary Watercolor Masters”, at the Vero Beach Museum of Art, Vero Beach, Florida. She is also the author of Landscapes in Watercolor, Walter Foster Publishing, and has served as juror in numerous art competitions. Kathy has taught painting classes and workshops for twenty-five years.
She is a Signature Member of Women In Watercolor, South Carolina Watermedia Society, West Virginia Watercolor Society and an Elected Member of Allied Artists of America. She is represented by the Providence Gallery, Charlotte, North Carolina.
