NINA MARTINO
Nina F. Martino has a BFA from Temple U & Tyler, a MFA from both L’Accademia di Belle Arti, Firenze, Italia and a MFA from El Instituto Allende, San Miguel de Allende, U of Guanajuato, MX.
She is the sole remaining member of the Philadelphia Martino Family of painters -14 in all, 5 professional - as featured in the 2010 book "Martinos: A Legacy of Art" by James McClelland.
She has won approximately 80 awards and honors; had a retrospective exhibition in San Miguel Allende, Guanajuato, México at the Whitfield Galleries in 2008. She is represented and has lectured, given workshops and taught in innumerable museums, institutions nationally and internationally. Her work is included in many collections, and archived in the Smithsonian Institute, Wash,DC.
Nina sponsors the Giovanni Martino Family Scholarship Foundation for students at the PA Academy of Fine Arts since 2019.
She is Vice-President of the PA Academy of Fine Arts Fellowship and an elected member of both Audubon Artists of America and Allied Artists of America.
