I, Terry Guyer, am honored to have my entry for the Allied Artists 107th Exhibition be awarded the “Katlan Family Seascape Award.”
I am an artist working out of Silicon Valley California specializing in landscapes, seascapes, portraits and figure paintings. My entry"California Coastline” is in the collection of M. Vincent Nicodème of Beclers, Belgium.
Last year I finished a multi-year commission from the Silicon Valley Luminary Society to paint Silicon Valley inventors at the age they were when they made their breakthroughs. This project became a series of eight, oil on linen, 6-foot by 9-foot canvases of five inventors each portrayed with their inventions. The paintings are now owned by Stanford University for display in the Hohbach Hall of Technology, on campus in the Green Library, as a teaching tool, along with their extensive one-of-a-kind collection of historic objects and stories.
My entry in the Allied Artists 106th Exhibition, “Between Guests, Tower of London” has recently been accepted for the first “The de Young Open.” This will be a salon hung exhibition at the prestigious de Young Museum in San Francisco later in 2020 or early 2021. The date of the show opening is to be announced when Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
