Allied Artists of America Awards Elected Membership to Sheryl Renee Dobson

Allied Artists of America is proud to welcome artist, Sheryl Renee Dobson as an Elected Member in 2025. Sheryl Renee Dobson is an award-winning American abstract expressionist painter and collagist who was born in Brooklyn, New York, raised in Roosevelt, Long Island, New York, and is based in Staten Island, New York. She received a BA in International Relations from Brown University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School. Raised among creatives and equipped with a formal multidisciplinary art education from high school, college, and beyond, she has maintained a lifelong studio practice.

Dobson views abstraction as a unique vehicle for encouraging connection with each other, with our role as environmental stewards, and with the Creator. Her impactful works have been juried into prominent international and national group exhibitions at venues that include: Ethan Cohen Gallery, Katonah Museum of Art, Susquehanna Art Museum, Henry Sheldon Museum, Kean University Liberty Hall Academic Center Gallery, New Britain Museum of American Art, Marin Museum of Contemporary Art, Hudson Valley Museum of Contemporary Art, Long Island Museum, Sasse Museum of Art, Hunterdon Art Museum, the Edward Hopper House Museum, and the Reading Public Museum.
