Debra Keirce is an artist and art teacher who is represented by Seaside Art Gallery, Nags Head, NC, Bella Arte Gallery, Midlothian, VA, Florence Thomas Art School and Gallery, NC, ScoJo’s Gifts & Cards, NM, and Cortile Gallery, MA. Her work has been displayed in many solo shows, curated art shows, curated gallery shows, and overseas exhibitions. In a highly defined realistic style, Keirce paints three different themes that resonate deeply with her; traditional renditions of still life, landscape and portraiture, the vintage and surreal, and faces and history of America.
Keirce was chosen to create 11 original paintings (8 portraits 30"x 40" and 3 palm sized still life paintings) for the Langham Hotel in Boston, MA.,the former Federal Reserve Bank of Boston building.
"I was chosen to complete 8 portraits of past Boston Fed presidents, to hang in the hotel's fine dining area. I also was commissioned to paint three miniature pieces for the bar area. This is a great honor. It is through the Copley Society of Art that the London based design firm found me. I lived in Boston in the 1990's and this project is a delight on so many levels. It is the largest commission I have ever endeavored. The work was was delivered and is installed at the Langham Boston Hotel October 2021."
She is also a part of a two painting groups that enjoy traveling to venues across America. The Artists Painting Stories group closed a show in NC and has their next one opening in Sept. The other group, Women.Artists.Masters, just opened a show at the Mansion at Strathmore museum in MD.
Debra's work is also currently being displayed in the Copley Society of Art Small Works Show- Emergence from 1/13/2022 to 3/26/2022 as well as in the Color Your Dreams Juried Art Exhibition, 1/28/2022 - 3/3/2022.
