Gold Medal of Honor Winner from the 106th Annual Exhibition- Thomas Valenti

Below- winning painting from the 106th Annual Exhibition. With this beautiful painting, Thomas won the Gold Medal of Honor and the $3000 prize that accompanied it.

Thomas Valenti served as president of Allied Artists of America (AAA) from 2006-2016. For his decade long service and dedication to the organization, Valenti was elected as an Honorary Member and now holds the title of Presidential Advisor.

Valenti’s work and writings have been featured in several publications. He is the author of, “The Tonal Techniques of Watercolor”, an article which appeared in an October 1986 issue of The Artists Magazine. His work was also featured in the January 2007, 70th Year Anniversary issue of the American Artists Magazine.

Thomas Valenti teaches privately and at the Ridgewood Community School. Valenti demonstrates, lectures and conducts workshops in watercolors, oil painting and drawing to well attended art interest groups everywhere. Valenti is sought after as a Juror for many major art competitions. His works are in numerous private collections in the United States and throughout the world. Public collections include, Rutgers University and the Lipton Tea Company, who commissioned the artist to paint a series of watercolors depicting the America's Cup Races in Newport, Rhode Island.
